ArtFacts.Net™ is the web front-end of probably the biggest fine art exhibition database world wide. In 2004 ArtFacts.Net™ developed the Artist Ranking Tool helping users to get to grip quickly on artists' careers through their exhibition history.

What is ArtFacts.Net™'s mission?

Our mission is to collect information on all art exhibitions since the Salon des Refusés 1863 in Paris. ArtFacts.Net™ demonstrates that Modern Art History can be seen as an History of Exhibitions.

How far do ArtFacts.Net™ records go back?

Our exhibition records date back to 1860. Artists' rankings are calculated from 1996, auction data from 2002. The oldest artists in our database are from the 13th century and the oldest museum in our database is the >Galleria degli Uffizi that was founded in 1560. The oldest listed gallery is Douwes Fine Art which dates back to 1805.
