Since the early 1980's, Bettina Rheims has been the most sought after french photographer and has established a strong international reputation.
Over the years, Bettina Rheims has caused a real stir with such projects as "I.N.R.I.", a sequence of images telling the life of Jesus Christ, and most recently "Shanghai", a magnificent and poignant oeuvre featuring women from various walks of life in the midst of a powerful cultural, economic and spiritual evolution.
Bettina Rheims' unusual and provocative portraits and nude images of movie stars, pop icons, famous models, artists, friends, or women from everyday life, photographed for leading fashion magazines the world over, each reveal a hidden part of the subject. These collaborations with Bettina's camera and her singular vision never cease to capture poetic moments of both inner beauty and human fragility.
Bettina's recent editorial collaborations include Citizen K, L'Officiel, 10 Magazine, and Dutch and her recent advertising clients include Evian, Bebe, Diane Von Furstenberg, Omega, Chaumet and Morgan.
Bettina Rheims is based in Paris.
