 Biography: 
1974 Born in Bologna, BO (IT) Gullotta graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2001. Her work depicts large empty interiors, often of an industrial nature. Her intention is to draw the viewer's attention to the dramatic nature of space. Sometimes individual objects are emphasised and human presence is always suggested though never depicted. Gullotta exploits a combination of photographic and pictorial techniques. Monochromatic photographs, printed onto various supports using liquid emulsion or else incorporated in a collage, are expanded and modified by the manual application of further lines and tones.
