1963 Born in Leningrad (SU)

1973 - 1977 he studied at the Vaganova Choreographic College in Leningrad

1974 - 1977 he studied at the I. Tulpanovīs studio

1991 - 1992 Trained with Timur Novikov under Pontus Hulten at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris

since 1995 Head of the department of photography at the New Academy of Fine Arts in St Petersburg

since 1996 Professor of the department of scientific research of fine art
