Else Gabriel (1962) and Ulf Wrede (1968) have been working together since 1988.
Emerging from an underground group of performance artists in former East-Germany (e.) Twin Gabriel have been working with all media, quite often reflecting their personal situation in videos and performances.
Thus the video "Belle Indifférence" shows pregnant Else Gabriel posing in front of London buildings, interrupted by sequences of both artists driving through tunnels, screaming. The work of (e.) Twin Gabriel is always witty, with an almost existential approach of revealing the absurdity of life.
