Heidi Specker´s photographs are
dedicated to architecture and its constituents. In an almost encyclopedic or archive-like manner she has been taken pictures of modernist buildings, mainly throughout Berlin, assembling them to overviews of stereotype facades and structures, which are yet of an astonishing beauty. In her series "Teilchentheorie" Heidi Specker has focused on architectural details that can be observed on modular buildings throughout every major city. The photographs of these architectural components can be arranged freely allowing ever new combininations.
