Biography: ![]() 1981 Born in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province (CN) Li Qing CV as pdf-File 65,4 KB Li Qing is one of China's current young talents. Li Qing has a very distinctive style of his own, and is part of a new Chinese generation of painters. "I like to play tricks with our habit of perception. My paintings, called "Point Out the Differences", are pairs of similar pictures that contain elements that do not match. This is based on a familiar past time game. The pictures are separately painted, in a free way. Strictly speaking, they are different paintings, although the pictorial images are exactly the same. The viewer is first tricked into accepting the narrative details to be the matter of the artwork, and then gradually discovers that unknowingly he has been led into the painterly quality and personal touches of the paintings. In the end, the observer will realize that the point is not finding the differences. Both of the paintings are in fact unique, they are moments of time that signify shifting messages even as they are only minutes apart from each other". 2000 Graduated from the High School Academy of Art, Hangzhou 2002 "Do we need to rebuild a Leifeng Tower?", China Academy of Art, Hangzhou 2004 "Concrete", 411 Gallery, Hangzhou "Art Shanghai 2004-Exhibition of works of young artists in China", Academy of Art, International exhibition center, Shanghai "Layer after layer" contemporary painting in Shanghai in Zhejiang art exhibition, Zhejiang exhibition center, Hangzhou Graduated from the China Academy of Art, Hangzhou 2004 Graduate from the Oil Painting Department of China Academy of Art 2005 Recommended for admission to the Oil Painting Department of China Academy of Art, Master's Degree "Double reading" photography exhibition, Direction Gallery, Hangzhou "Let some ideas be seen", Modern Art Gallery of Art Academy of Hangzhou Teachers University, Hangzhou "The spring of Vizcaya" exhibition of paintings and sculptures of Chinese and French artists, Shanghai "Future archeology" the second triennial of Chinese art, Nanjing "Rule Possible" young artists exhibition, Zhejiang exhibition center, Hangzhou "China.Green" Exhibition "Exploration", Ag-Art Loft, Hangzhou / Tank Loft Arts Center, Chongqing "Young Chinese Contemporary Art", Hangar-7, Salzburg, Austria "Zhejiang Oil-painting Exhibition" awarded the Gold Prize 2007 Graduate from the Oil Painting Department of China Academy of Art, conferred master’s degree Lives and works in Hangzhou (CN) | Public exhibitions 10 ![]() Solo shows 22009
