1964 Born in Madrid (ES) Master in Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid. During his studies he goes abroad to Venice with a grant of the ‘Academia di Belle Arti’ and also to France to Clermont Ferrand University. Other important places for him are Istanbul, with its fusion of occidental and oriental cultures, but none like the Serenisima. During the last ten years he has had several solo and group exhibitions in both Spain as well as in some foreign countries. Above those “The Material of the Constant Word” at Galery Kessler-Battaglia in Valencia (2006) and “Elements of Alchemy” in Ascona, Switzerland (2007) can be highlighted. In 2008 he participates in the “Kunstmanifestatie Pasión” in Arnhem, the Netherlands. He also takes part in national and international art fairs and cooperates with the Spanish ‘Instituto Cervantes’ from Morocco. His works incorporate poetic elements together with a search to open the gates of perception of our inward world. He calls himself a “classic avant-garde” and the main leitmotiv of his work is its beauty as a sublime manifestation. Prestell also illustrates poetic works and developes engravings.
