Biography: ![]() 1944 Born in Sevilla (ES) Arcenegui is a painter and a professor at the Sevilla Faculty of Fine Arts, where he lectures Drawing and Concept of Shapes, and at the Faculty of Valencia, where he lectures Concept and Technique of Colour. Particular attention should be paid to his individual exhibition Italia y Manuel Arcenegui in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Seville, the 1st Painting Prize at the III Fundación Fondo de Cultura National Competition in Seville (Focus) and the Painting Prize "Concurso Internacional BMW", and also the exhibition Cuixart-Cillero-Arcenegui in the Caja de Ahorros San Fernando in Seville, an individual exhibition in the Des Arches gallery in Paris (France) and a collective exhibition in the Instituto Cervantes in Rome (Italy). In 2000 he had an individual exhibition De Venecia al Caravaggio in the Nolde gallery in Navacerrada (Madrid) and more recently, an exhibition in the Instituto Cervantes in Chicago. Some of his work can also be viewed in the Seville Contemporary Art Museum, the Villafamés Contemporary Art Museum (Castellon), the Caracas Contemporary Art Museum (Venezuela), the Huelva Contemporary Art Museum, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Seville City Hall, the Seville Provincial Government Offices, the University of Seville, the University of Cadiz and the Municipal Museum of Valdepeñas, and also in many banks and private collections. | Public exhibitions 1 ![]() Solo shows 12007
