Biography:
1959 Born in Amarillo, TX (US)
Mark Seliger attended Houston High School for the Performing and Visual Arts where he gained his grounding in photography and image, before freelancing for Rolling Stone for six years. It was in 1993 when he made his major break, becoming chief photographer for the publication, an industry bible read by millions each month.
Over the next ten years he experienced a tour de force of photographic assignments, covering virtually every major face of contemporary music and society. Since 2003 he has been under contract with Conde Nast Publications for Vanity Fair and GQ, and recently shot the editorial to the infamous "Desperate Housewives" edition of Vanity Fair. He continues to live and work as a photographer in New York.
