Biography: 
1930 Born in Thessaloniki (GR)
He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Athens with Yannis Moralis and at the same worked in the studios of N. Nikolaou and Y. Spiropoulos. In 1955 he settled in Rome where he worked until 1960. He then moved to Paris where he lived until 1981 when he returned to Athens. He was a founder of the “mec art” movement. In 1982 he was appointed Professor of the School of Fine Arts in Athens and was its Dean from 1992 to 1996. He has participated in significant one-person and group exhibitions in various museums and galleries in Greece and abroad. In 1988 he represented Greece in the Venice Biennale.
