Biography: ![]() 1948 Born in Vinarós, Castellon (ES) 1967 - 1972 he studied sculpture in the Sant Jordi Fine Art Faculty (Barcelona) where he obtained his degree, and afterwards in the Sant Carles Fine Art Faculty (Valencia), where he was awarded his PhD 1975 From 1975 until today he has worked, in an art related manner, in primary and special education, as well as in teacher and therapist training. At present he is a permanent lecturer at the Department of Sculpture at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He has also given courses at the Tucumán National University (Argentina) and the Autonomous University of Mexico. He is the author of the poetry book Instant varat, and the co-author of the books Francisco Bahía, esculturas. Antología 1939-1999 and Ricardo Boix: esculturas y dibujos. Antología: 1924-1992. He has also published various articles related to art and education, such as Rasgar el aire, Estigmas de la memoria, El testimonio de un escultor discreto: dos esculturas contra la guerra, La materia como campo de significación específico de la escultura contemoránea and Arte y educación hoy, carrera hacia una libertad condicionada. Other artistic work which should not be overlooked includes large public sculptures in Aldaia, Teruel, Xeraco, Vinaròs and Bellreguard (Spain). His work has been shown in several places; he displayed work in individual exhibitions such as Senyals i límits in Reus (Tarragona), Perfils de l'ombra in Paterna (Valencia), Escultures in Bellreguard (Valencia), Densitats in Gandia (Valencia), Hermetismes in Rome (Italy), Transicions in Valencia and Valls (Tarragona), Exercicis de memòria in Alfafar (Valencia) and Murcia, Esguards in Brussels (Belgium), Valencia and Castellon, Fora de temps in Palma de Mallorca and Vic (Barcelona), Pas per pas and Dibuixos i projectes in Vinaròs (Castellon) and L'accent amb el que dius les coses in the Kessler-Battaglia gallery in Valencia. Other collective exhibitions have disseminated his work and can be found in various private and institutional collections in Santiago de Chile (Chile), Mexico DF (Mexico), Brussels (Belgium), Rome (Italy), Tucumán (Argentina), Tokyo (Japan), Terano (Italy), Valencia, Tarragona and Castellon. | Public exhibitions 1 ![]() Group shows 12007
