During this years' Edinburgh Festival we will be presenting two new exhibitions by Alison Watt. At the gallery, we will be holding our first solo exhibition of paintings which opens on 5 August and runs until 13 September. Three large canvases, Hood, Flow and Flexion [the latter now being in the collection of the new Scottish Parliament] will be on show alongside three exquisite small works recently completed for this exhibition. The exhibition will be open from 10am - 5pm, Monday to Saturday throughout August. If you wish to visit outside these times please call the gallery on 0131 556 4441.

Alison Watt's work can also be seen from 1st August until 26th September in the Memorial Chapel of Old St Pauls Church on Jeffrey Street, just off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. An extraordinary site-specific work, this 12ft square painting in 4 panels entitled STILL has been suspended above the altar in the chapel. The church is open to the public from 9am-5pm everyday.

We have published two books to mark these exhibitions: 'Still' and 'Alison Watt' which can be purchased through the gallery for 10 each [plus p+p] or 15 for a presentation set of the two. Both books are clothbound hardbacks, published in an edition of 1000 [32pp].

Twenty of these two book will be available as a very special edition, held within a box containing a unique oil painting on card, signed and numbered by the artist and priced at 750. For further information about availability, reservations and an image of the artist proof, please contact the gallery.
