armandois known for his paintings as well as his sculptures with repeated images related to war experiences. however, since his serious illness in 2004, his paintings have changed. not only have land- and seascapes entered his scope, he has also introduced a variety of colour and more explicite the colour green.

unlike armando, the german painter kuno gonschior lacks subject matter in his paintings. his consist of pure gestural dashes of colour in different rhythms and combinations, that however abstract often evoke associations with his predecessors, such as monet's paintings from his garden, or van gogh's cornfields.
also the israeli artist menashe kadishman, primarily known for his steel sculptures, is an insatiable painter. in a large series he paints portraits of sheep, showing human features. however, recently, he has also taken to painting horses.
