In July, VWFA collaborates with the Goethe Institut to bring you 'Art ConneXions'. Yee I-Lann (MY), Albrecht Fuchs (GER), Shaun Gladwell (AUS), Martin Fengel (GER), Nicola Meizner (GER) and Jay Yao (PHI) will showcase new works created under the Goethe Institute's distinctive art residency program.

This project is sponsored by DaimlerChrysler, Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (IFA) and other organisations. The artists will jointly explore contemporary manifestations of connecting, mixing, hybridity versus isolation, reassertion, and identity. Uniting them all is their passion and skill in photomedia, i.e. all art forms that incorporate and use photographic techniques, whether in collages, graphic works, video-stills, etc. Art ConneXions is also one of the many events scheduled for the Kuala Lumpur International Photography (KLIP) Festival 2005.
