Assembly brings together selected work from public collections in County Louth; Drogheda Municipal Art Collection now housed at Highlanes Gallery, P.J. Carroll Collection at Dundalk Institute of Technology and the Art Collections of Louth Local Authorities.

These diverse collections have been developed in the last century and feature work made by artists today and through the last two centuries.

We have developed a programme of talks, lectures and events to facilitate and support access to ideas around public, private and corporate collecting and an insight into artists’ practice past and present.

Lecture and Exhibition Opening

Friday 24 September at 6.45pm/7.00pm
The opening of Assembly will include a talk on Bea Orpen, Terry Trench and the founding of the Drogheda Municipal Art Collection. It will be given by Brian Trench, communications lecturer at Dublin City University.
