Art is a magical language, which speaks with coloured splashes and translates an inner vision of a mysterious world around us. ‘Colour Sensation’ is an international group exhibition showcasing the celebration of colour from diverse image-makers. In the works the many nuances of colour with their full palette of emotions counterbalance the tendency towards rational discipline, colours bleed and disperse. Layers of colours build up and then become infinitely thin and translucent. Layer over layer. Texture over texture. Colour and form is revealed. The exhibition is not only characterized by a variety of artists, but also by an abundance of mediums and materials. Besides painting, various forms of textiles and textures, objects and sculptural reliefs, the exhibition also includes more traditional techniques such as silkscreen printing. The works utilize modest and direct means which record and celebrate everyday happenstances.
