For the Gallery Weekend in Frankfurt we are proud to present new paintings from David FeBland.
David FeBland was born in England, in 1949. He studied at the University of Cincinnati, the University of Manchester and the University of California. He lives and works in New York City.
For many artists the city is a living, permanently changing motif, which requests to be hold in painting.
Since the mid-nineties he is primarily interested in members of ethical minorities which converge in the melting pot New York and other big cities. He portrays those people trying to persist everyday life by keeping their rituals, traditions and merits. Boundary dispute, loss of privacy and sustained pressure of competition are moments of the daily city life, the artist shows in his paintings.
His work has been shown at many international art fairs, in museums and solo gallery shows around the world.
His paintings are included in numerous private collections.
Accompanying this exhibition we have produced a new catalogue with the artist newest work.
