The CCA Gallery presents LIGHTBOX / THE MODULE. This installation consists of a handmade aluminium box, closed with glass as a window. It was created to mark the opening of the Galerie im Regierungsviertel in April 2007 and placed in a field located between the Berlin Press Conference Center and the Parliament.

The Light Box, brings together the work of 21 artists and has the vocation to travel around the world and be shown in different locations, as part of different installations as well as being a container of art itself.

It is created by a group of artists, curators and art world people in general, whose priority and concern is accessibility, involvement and participation. Defending the values of (LIGHTBOX / module) are the characteristics of these works that are directly or indirectly generated by the world outside the context of art. The artists are affected by the reality of the media, politicians and post-structures pulses. Therefore the intention here is to transform these realities and send them back to the world through their works.
