For the second edition of DocksArtFair, located at the heart of the Confluence - a new district symbolising the city of Lyon in the XXIst century - the creators of the fair wished to renew this event during the opening week of the Biennial of Contemporary Art of Lyon, thus claiming the
synergy between both events and the quality of their artistic programme.
On the basis of solo shows, which is one of DocksArtFair's characteristics, selected galleries from all over the world will each present one emerging artist. DocksArtFair 09 will reveal the key role played by galleries towards young artists, under its most committed and stimulating aspect.

Several joint events were created to offer more to contemporary art amateurs all week long in Lyon : the Montblanc / DocksArtFair Prize, to be given to one of the exhibited artists during the fair, will mark the occasion, while the associated event « ArtLine to EveryWhere » in participating foreign consulates will highlight DocksArtFair's catching dynamism.
