Grupmodern fi, Mu-el vacio
"Grup modern fi" is José López Luna and Antonio Carlos García Raffi.
Both graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts from the Universitat Politécnica de València. Garcia Raffi got his Master of Fine Arts at the same University in 1999.
García Raffi and López Luna started working together in 1986. López Luna is also a restorer.
The activity of "Grup modern fi" has been multidisciplinary: from illustration work for various publishers, such as Anaya, Teide, Publicacions de la GeneralitatValencian, etc., to making posters, the design and construction of theatre sets for La Burbuja and Teatre de L'Ull theatre companies, sculpture, design and especially paintings with solo and group exhibitions. For their painting work they received the second prize in the 2000 Biennial GodellaPinazo.
In this exhibition they go back to their abstract origins, after several years pondering and working in the figurative.
