Judy Ross´ video work "Erase the image" deals with our transient memory of the deceased. The viewer may wander above the clouds with allegorical characters and according to its perspective look at an enchanted forrest or at a moutain range that is reflected upon water. "Erase the image" shows how memory of a deceased slowly blurs and is replaced by idealised images.
In her work cycle "Black" which she started in 2007 the artist Susanne Roewer guides us into the dissociative world of film noir, whose heroes act in fragmented shaded sceneries and fathom step by step meaningful coherences behind apparently random details. The Berlin-based paintress who is currently living in Switzerland, experiences masterly on her black paintings with classics of the modern art and culture history.

In her works Kathi Schröder creates a visual mace in which she - laying down scents and in search for clues - lurs the viewer in. However, he will not find certainties within. Instead, a net in which fragmented moments as dim traces are interwoven. Kathi Schröder uses collected imaginery which she photocopies, cuts into pieces and reunites by braiding. Everything remains detail, fragment. |
