The Okayama-based artist presents selections from his recent photographic series, titled Dark Forest. To create these works, Sugiura photographed forest landscapes in Okayama Prefecture at night using only existing light. Foliage, geography, reflection and darkness enter into subtly choreographed relationships - reflecting Sugiura's deep reverence for these mountain landscapes. | |||||
