Kevin Clarke - New Circles
24.10.2008 - 26.11.2008
Kevin Clarke was born in 1953 in New York. He studied at Cooper Union then and lived in Germany and Switzerland for four years creating conceptual photography projects. Clarke published photography books "Kunst und Medien" (Art and Media) about the Documenta 6 and "Kaufhauswelt" (Department Store World) about the KaDeWe in Berlin. He became widely popular through publication of "The Red Couch, A Portrait of America".
He returned to the conceptual with "From the Blood of Poets" and "The Invisible Body", series of portraits of artists, scientists, and others using the basis of genetic analysis, chromosomes and DNA.
Our exhibition "New Circles" shows the artist's new works - and a flashback.
We cordially invite you and your friends to the opening at 6 pm on Friday, October 24.
