Civilization, moreover modernization has kept increasing the convenience in day-life, but at the same time they made humanity distanced from nature. Whenever we wish, nevertheless, to reflect on our lives, we go back toward nature to find some consolation. Often we daydream of waking up in the morning to find a peaceful, fresh landscape beyond our windows.
Despite the constant pursuit of creating something new in art, Nature remains to be to what human ultimately tries to be similar, and in the end he/she feels humble confronting it. Nature is something man can never freed from. The vast landscape in front of us makes us forget our current anxieties and overwhelms us. That is far beyond human talents and techniques.
Ju TaeSeok, Hwang YongJin and Kwon DooHyeon employ different techniques each, but what they have in common is their gazes on the nature. This sort of works free us from numerous rhetorical devices for representations, and would offer us new hopes, peacefulness, and repose. |
