Michael Kutschbach's paintings are a mixture of the technological and the organic. He is able to take mundane thoughtless creations such as a blob of paint smudged on a piece of paper to the heights of the surreal. The blobs begin to have a life of their own and have developed a sense of movement that can transport them from the perimeters of the painting to the wall its self. Although the techniques that Kutschbach employs in his work are often very high-tech the work does not appear to be sterile or cold. They a great sense of have humanity about them as we, the viewer can actively interact and interpret the personalities at play and feel absorbed into another world.
