In the exhibition "Dialog 1" the Galerie Ernst Hilger is presenting a selection of 20 smaller works on paper and several larger-scale works of Nikolaus Moser. The works of Nikolaus Moser cannot be classified. They are hymns to colour. The beholder must only puzzle over whether the pictures are abstract painting or concrete abstraction. The painter repeatedly determines for himself a new approach to painting. Moser does not make use of any definitions preceding the work, but lets the work evolve from within. It needs no explanation. This means that there is no horizon of interpretation appearing on a meta-level. The pictures are not created by chance. Nikolaus Moser is an artist of intelligent design. But he and it pose the question as to when the point has arrived at which the picture is finished.
