Whilst cleaning out his studio, McKenna came across a box filled with clippings and other notes. This memorabilia has inspired the paintings in the exhibition which includes images of houses and landscapes from around the world, interiors, domestic pets, news stories and some fabulous suite of minimal ink drawings on paper.

The title of this exhibition is also the title of a book by NZ author Greg O'Brien.
