New rules - new scenes, is the artist Olle Schmidt's first solo exhibition in the gallery, and includes selected works from the later years of production. Olle Schmidt's paintings are narratives and influential by series, magazines, daily life, art, movies, news, friends and kitsch - elements which the artist integrates the ease with art historical and personal references. Olle Schmidt's stories are steeped in his critical and humorous attitude to historical and social progress. The foreground figures are figures and people drawn from all the world's series. Painting is carefully and stretches from comprehensive to quickly blurred. Meaning levels overlap and artful ideas mixed with dark over the clear perception of security conditions. | |||||
