On the occaison of the 28th DUISBURGER AKZENTE: „Terminus Amerika?"
The exhibition focuses on the themes: Automobiles, traffic, highway, speed - themes that characterized the life experience and the reality of the markedly urban and globally inspired sixties. Pop Art´s features in sculpture, painting und graphics are fundamentally influenced by the industrial products of vehicles by VW, Chrysler, Rolls Royce (Beatles), Bentley, Pontiac and Cadillac. The Lehmbruck Museum will show objects taken from the Collection Gottfried W. Schultz, the BMWCar Collection (Warhol), the DaimlerChrysler Collection (Warhol´s "Cars"), the ADAC Collection in Munich, museum and private collections (Collection Ludwig Cologne, Artmuseum in Krefeld, Mönchengladbach, Schloss Moyland Foundation, Collection Omnasch, Berlin etc.).
