Precious Little Things
(Modern and Contemporary Photography)
The exhibition includes a variety of Documentary, Nude, Still Life and Landscape Photographs from Europe, Japan, South Africa and the United States and includes work of: Erwin Olaf, Alvin Booth, Josef Sudek, William Greiner, Cartier-Bresson, Florian Beckers, Josef Vetrovsky, Jan Saudek, Alvarez Bravo, Horace Bristol, Graciela Iturbide, Edouard de Pazzi, Pavel Odvody, Dale Yudelman and many others.
And while bold statements and formats often seem to dominate our perception, but very seldom reach the quality of an Andreas Gursky Photograph, this exhibition is focusing on work that doesn't go simply for the drama of BIG.
Proofing that it is in the end the idea, the subject or the story behind, which occur a large impact and fascination and that size matters indeed, but as part of a concept and not for its own sake and definitely not limited to BIG. |
