Does art have a link with reality and life?
The SaLon Gallery introduces a promising London based artist, Raffaele Addante.
His works display symbols to transform fantasy into reality and to link art to the material culture.
Raffaele Addante has a great capability in bringing together a wide range of materials in a light and aesthetically balanced form. The materials go from resin, wire, glue, paint, latex, objects and photography. Through the process of piecing together different mediums & materials, he generates mixed images in their content and form by assemblage technique.
His works recall design and fashion in an unintentional way. The women, their forms and his relation with them are part of his work through painting, prints and photography. Light and dark are part of his work as well. His piece "The Head" is dark but it is shining when touched by lights. The unreal can transform into a real form and manifest to the world.
The purpose of this exhibition is to connect the general public with conceptual artists and art though SaLon Gallery as a space for cultural exchange amongst people. |
