Franklin Art Works is pleased to announce an exhibit of new work by Minneapolis born and Brooklyn-based artist Rob Fischer. Entitled Few Landmarks, No Boundaries, the show will feature numerous new sculptures and two nights of a multimedia performance that includes video projection, live music, spoken word and recorded radio chatter.
Related Events: Opening Reception and Performance of Few Landmarks, No Boundaries Saturday, October 3 at 7pm Performance begins at 8 In the premier of his performance work Few Landmarks, No Boundaries (2009), Fischer is collaborating with Sara Woster and several musicians to create the sensation of searching for something on a car radio dial. This live performance will feature a cast of various performers including Kraig Jarret Johnson, P. Chris Bierbrauer, Chris Larson, Rico Gatson, an opera singer, country-western radio personality Jim Woster and many others.
Franklin Presents: Stories & Music / Dark Dark Dark Friday, October 29 at 8pm Minneapolis band Dark Dark Dark will perform a special set, interweaving songs with their accounts of living on the road, hopping trains and floating down the Mississippi on homemade boats.
Opening band tete a tete to begin at 7pm; Suggested $5 donation. |
