Galerie Edward Mitterrand is proud to announce the opening of its new exhibition dedicated to multiples produced by JRP Editions.

JRP Editions was founded in 1997, after two years of occasional realisations in the field of books and magazines under the name of Just Ready to be Published its main activity is now the production of projects in collaboration with artists (books and multiples) as well as publications on contemporary art (anthologies, catalogues).

Multiple(s) Project(s)

Since April 2002, JRP has gathered its production of multiples by giving it the shape of a travelling exhibition presented in a number of European galleries. Stéphane Dafflon was asked to think of a mural disposition, which would accompany the layout of the show. Thus, he has created a series of abstract and multicoloured sticker motives, which are directly laid out on the walls. Dafflon thinks of a different setting for each show depending on the architectural settings of the spaces.

Inverting the relation of dependence of the multiplied work of art to the notion of original and its context of specialised presentation, here it is the multiple which generates its own conditions of exhibition and builds a specific situation to each of its users.
