»Opera Omnia II - Energy of Personality«

Natalia LL's soloshow »OPERA OMNIA II - Energy of Personality« is a continuation of a series of works of the last years. The presented works, among them classical works from her series »Animal Art« from the 1970ies, put a focus on a reflexion about eroticism and physical sensuality, artistic transposition, the language of pop-culture and the production of sublime mythological themes.

The »Animal Art« cycle consists of photographies that show a nacked woman striking poses on a couch and hugging a luxurious fur coat. The fur actually do not cover her, but rather conceals in order to reveal. This game gives evidence of complete freedom and lack of restrictions. In the mutual relations of body and fur lies pleasure and desire.

Natalia LL is one of the most renowned polish artists and works since the 1960ies in the field of photogrphy, video, painting, bodyart and performance. She is co-founder of the gallery and artist-group PERMAFO in Wroclaw. She is a main representative of feminist art movement. The grande-dame of the polish art-scene has exhibited in the world's leading institutions. Last to be seen at the exhibitions »re.act feminism« at the Akademie der Künste in Berlin (video program) and at »Darkside - Photographic Desire and Sexuality Photographed« at the Fotomuseum Winterthur.
