On first sight the exhibition Streetmodernism displays the visual language of comics, tags, games, animation and tattoos. The high level of handicraft and buff expression create impressive, engaged uderground works of art. But just as easy you can see the relation with the world of classical sculpture and the modernistic parole. In short; from the street up there's lots to experience.

Participating artists: Wouter Feyaerts (BE), Philip Metten (BE), Abigail Lazkoz (ES), Lennard Schuurmans (NL), Nick Ervinck (BE), IRIS (NL) en Luuk Bode (NL).

Wereld van Witte de With special:
Following Streetmodernism Philip Metten presents a new work with his collective 'Quasar Noise Lab'. Daily performances on September 7-8-9 in and around Witte de Withstraat.

MAMA's Sidekick Eve @ Gay Palace:
As usual MAMA throws the official openingsparty of the festival at Gaypalace on Friday night. With a live performance of MONO an dj's SNOOBA (Brussels), Cliché (London), Laylow (Rotterdam) en Hannah Holland (Trailer Trash London)
