Galerie Richard in Paris is delighted to announce the first retrospective exhibition of a Japanese artist, Takesada MATSUTANI entitled "From the 60's to today" from March 17 to May 5, 2012. This is the artist's first retrospective exhibition in France where he has lived since 1966.

In Japan, a number of retrospective solo exhibitions have been dedicated to him in 2010, "Stream" at Museum of Modern Art of Kamakura & Hayama and Kaneko Art Gallery and Tsubaki Modern Art Gallery in Tokyo. All of this attention to MATSUTANI's distinctive oeuvre reflects substantially growing interest in Gutai. The Guggenheim Museum in New York is preparing a large exhibition of the artists of Gutai art group in 2013.
