The Asia Society Print Portfolio
Exhibition Dates: 24th February - 3rd March 2007
The Asia Society Print Portfolio is an exhibition of prints from the limited edition portfolio published by Singapore Tyler Print Institute and the Asia Society of New York to commemorate the Society's 50th Anniversary. This exhibition will feature 10 specially commissioned works by leading artists from across Asia. The artists were selected by Melissa Chiu, Asia Society's Museum Director and Curator, Contemporary Art, and the portfolio's curator. "I wanted a selection of leading artists from across Asia as a representation of what's happening today in contemporary Asian art".
The participating artists in this exhibition are: Amanda Heng (Singapore), Michael Lin (Taiwan), Lin Tian Miao (China), Jiha Moon (Korea), Navin Rawanchaikul (Thailand), Nilima Sheikh (India), Wilson Shieh (Hong Kong), Wong Hoy Cheong (Malaysia), Yuken Teruya (Japan) and Xu Bing (China).
