 Timm Rautert, Gerhard Richter, Düsseldorf 1986, Farbfotografie, 47 x 71 cm | | |
People and their working environment is a central theme of Tim Rautert - running like a thread through his photographic work. Here, Rautert not only depicts "Deutsche in Uniform, 1974" ("Germans in Uniform, 1974") or "Deutsche Börse Frankfurt/Main, 2000" ("The German Stock Exchange Frankfurt/Main, 2000") but also - since the late 60s - his own craft of artists in their studios with, amongst others: Franz Erhard Walther, Andy Warhol, James Turrell, Robert Rayman, Ed Ruscha, Walter de Maria, Gerhard Richter and Neo Rauch. From this continuing series, an exhibition at Galerie Parrotta shows the portrait series on Gerhard Richter in his studio. |
