To document their own road is an ancient topos of photography. From 1995 to 1997 the celebrated writer Ulf Erdmann Ziegler, the "Paris Street" with a borrowed medium-format camera, a single lens, slide film. The final convolute included 69 photographs, the edit helped, as friend and mentor, the photographer Dirk Reinartz. Since the project was in the drawer.

The Galerie Rothamel Frankfurt shows it 25 Cibachrome, analog prints from slides. The technique is reminiscent of a recently vanished also lost city, West Berlin. The "Paris Street" is a clear need in Ziegler's paintings in detail, with all sorts of allusions and metaphors, while inventory and visual interior.
