Following very successful presentations at the ART FORUM BERLIN and the ArtFair Beijing, we now present our current program at the ART COLOGNE: the numerous new positions provide a preview of the exhibitions coming up in our Berlin and Beijing galleries in 2007. The 'image of the Chinese' is no longer in the foreground as the focus is on the validity of the individual works, of the artistic positions, and of their own autonomy. Blocks of work by the Chinese artists Wang Yin, Li Luming and the Korean artist Yoo Junghyun are at the heart of the display. These are juxtaposed with the 'grand masters' Fang Lijun and Yang Shaobin and the newcomers Cui Guotai, Wang Mai, Chi Peng and Shan Fan. Shan Fan occupies a new position, the turn towards abstraction in communication with the monochrome painting of Shi Jing.

In the ART COLOGNE's 'Open Space', the gallery presents Miao Xiaochun's digitally-created 'The Last Judgment in CyBerspace', which is currently also being shown at our Beijing gallery WHITE SPACE. A catalogue featuring a text by Professor Siegfried Zielinski, director of the Kunsthochschule für Medien in Cologne, accompanies this work.
