Dominik Mersch Gallery: 2 Danks Street Award For Contemporary Art Criticism

Dominik Mersch Gallery is pleased to announce their support of the 2 Danks Street Award for Contemporary Art Criticism. The award has been initiated by the permanent galleries of 2 Danks Street Waterloo in conjunction with the print magazine

Artist Profile

and new online art journal Art for All: All for Art

The award was established to open up new discussions about the visual arts and foster the talents of emerging amateur arts writers. The initial award will be given for pieces written specifically about exhibitions at the 2 Danks Street complex. Works submitted must be based around exhibitions taking place in June, July or August of 2013.
Entrants wishing to choose Dominik Mersch Gallery exhibitions as the basis of their entry may write about any of the following:

Lucas Davidson:
'limbo'

Philip Wolfhagen:
'Proposition'

Isidro Blasco:
'SYDNEY INTERIORS'

A prize of $1,000 will be given to a new talent in arts writing, including an invitation for the winner to be published with the sponsor journals. The judging panel includes: Candice Bruce - historian, writer and curator; Owen Craven - publisher of Artist Profile; Pru Gibson - curator, writer and lecturer at COFA; and John McDonald - art critic.

For further information contact Janet Clayton on 0401 996 990 or info@2dankstreet.com.au
