Plattenpalast and dr. julius | ap present TIM STAPEL
 
   Plattenpalast and dr. julius | ap are pleased to present a site-specific mural relief by Berlin artist TIM STAPEL for the Plattenpalast exhibition space in Berlin-Mitte.

Out of the designs for a site-specific artwork, Tim Stapel has developed a method of generating geometric forms. By folding a basic grid, he creates a group of individual shapes which nonetheless have a specific relationship to each other. These shapes can then be used in a great variety of different spaces: through simple arrangements of the individual elements, many different larger structures can be created.

As an outgrowth of this project, Stapel created a wall relief that relates and refers to the walls of the Plattenpalast.
