Hamish Morrison Galerie was founded in 2002 by Hamish Morrison.
Initially concentrating on young contemporary German painters, the programme has quickly broadened to include many international artists working in a wide variety of media. The gallery's aim is to promote the development and profile of new and mid-career artists on a long-term basis and set standarts for the redefinition of contemporary art. Through theme-orientated and curated group exhibitions Spielhaus Morrison Galerie further participates in the discourse of current topical issues.
Having been located in Berlin Mitte the gallery has shifted to a former industrial site next to the Hamburger Bahnhof in September 2006. The gallery's 650 m² space is part of the new gallery location in the Heidestrasse. |
