After his solo exhibition "Breeze of Light" at Nusser & Baumgart which ended last week, we are proud to announce that Frank Gerritz has been awarded with the Edwin-Scharff Prize of the City of Hamburg. The Edwin-Scharff Prize is given every year since the death of the sculptor in 1955 to an artist whose career has distinctly coined the cities cultural life. Artists who have received the prize are, among others Ulrich Rückriem, Franz Erhard Walther, Anna und Bernhard Blume, Andreas Slominski, Bogomir Ecker, Jeanne Faust und Daniel Richter. The official award ceremony will take place in fall of this year at the Hamburger Kunsthalle. Date will be announced.
