SaLon Gallery SaLon Gallery
  Private Gallery

SaLon Gallery SaLon is an art gallery situated over the ground floor and basement, designed in an apartment setting with a range of activities including solo and group art exhibitions as well as entertainment activities such theatre plays, live music performances, poetry evenings and film screenings all in the unique and splendour ambient.

SaLon's aim is to inspire and connect its residents, collectors, friends and associates through events in art, theatre, film, fashion, music and media.

The venue is about modern, yet classic surroundings, relaxed and professional service and unusual art and culture. SaLon presents its wealth of culture in a beautifully designed space where one can absorb art in a unique and specific way and aims to help Contemporary Art scene reach a wider audience.

One of the main points that differentiates SaLon Gallery from other galleries across West and Central London is the fact that at SaLon we marry visual and performing arts at each one of our exhibition openings, whether by engaging dancers, singers, performers, or else. The state of the art sound system is also available as well as two plasma screens situated on the both floors of the gallery which is approximately a 140m2 big.

The venue is available for private hire 7 days a week (see www.salongallery.co.uk) and is fully equipped to cater for corporate events, fabulous birthday parties, business presentations, company meetings, networking events, wedding receptions, product launches, book launches, intimate dinners and cocktail parties.

SaLon's concept description is a fusion between art, culture, entertainment, food and drink.

SaLon aims to:

I PROMOTION OF ART

  • promote contemporary art to a wider audience introducing young collectors to the art world as well as all those interested in art with no or little knowledge about art

  • promote a structure that values diversity, where for instance, music, dance and performance can coexist alongside the traditional gallery function of displaying visual art, creating a fusion of performing and visual arts

  • promote a place where the synthesis of the arts is a natural process and looks towards a new kind of venue, an intimate setting where artists of all kinds and public can come together in a relaxing environment

  • enable those outside the arts to get involved and learn more on the subject through organisation of various art exhibitions, informative art based events, etc

  • assist emerging artists to gain a necessary exposure and develop their careers

  • build a platform where established and emerging artists from visual arts, film, music and media could meet and share ideas and experience as well as discuss art-related topics amongst themselves as well as with public at large

II PROMOTION OF ECO-RELATED PROJECTS
  • promote and take an active participation in eco-friendly projects (Feb/Mar exhibition titled 'Notting Hill 2050' showing through a multi media art exhibition what Notting Hill would look like if the global warming produced a further increase of the temperature by 2 degrees causing possible disastrous consequences, i.e. much more dangerous tornados to the one we witnessed in North London)

  • to convert the SaLon premises at Westbourne Grove into a 100% eco-friendly building

  • organise networking events and discussion panels for art, recycling and eco-related topics and projects raise awareness on the importance of recycling and eco-friendly projects

  • organise exhibitions on recyclable furniture actively participating in eco-projects

SaLon will aim to develop an information portal for its clients and all those interested in SaLon's activities to have up-to-date information on all projects and activities SaLon organises or participates in.
