|Newly Founded: Van Horn Society Shows Bettie Page Contact Sheets, In Memoriam Bunny Yeager (28.5.2014)|
||VAN HORN SOCIETY|
in Memoriam Bunny Yeager
We are delighted to announce the establishing of the VAN HORN SOCIETY.
The VAN HORN SOCIETY was founded in early 2014 by Jan- Holger Arndt and Daniela Steinfeld.
The VAN HORN SOCIETY is dedicated to the specific, the other, the obscure or forgotten - the gems that can be found in the peripheral areas of art and photography.
Special thanks go to our partner LANGBRETT® under whose roof the VAN HORN SOCIETY will obtain a temporary showroom.
The first exhibition of the VAN HORN SOCIETY, planned and prepared for a long time, is now also a farewell to the wonderful and unique Bunny Yeager.
We are dismayed and very sad to hear of her sudden death. She was an extraordinary woman and photographer.
In particular through her work with the nude model Bettie Page Bunny Yeager was a pioneer of Pin-Up Photography in America in the 50s.
About forty of rare Bettie Page contact prints, signed by Bunny Yeager, will be shown in a german premiere in September 2014 at the VAN HORN SOCIETY, in cooperation with LANGBRETT®.
The exhibition runs parallel to the DC Open weekend.
More information can be found from mid-July on our website http://www.vanhornsociety.com
