The specific qualities associated with film making are of central importance to her work. Long takes and static camera positions are characteristic of her films, creating a sense of stillness in their moving images. Her work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions, including the 2000 Biennale de Montréal and Elusive Paradise at the National Gallery of Canada in 2001, and in solo exhibitions at Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art, Rotterdam, 1997; ICA, Philadelphia (with U.S. tour), 1998; Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Basel, 2000; MACBA, Barcelona, 2001; and Tate Modern, London, 2001. 1998 Graduated from Falmouth School of Art Scholarship 1998 - 1999 Greek Government Scholarship to the Supreme School of Fine Art, Athens Awards 1998 shortlisted for the Turner Prize 2002 Kunstpreis Aachen 2002 2006 Hugo Boss Prize Lives and works in Berlin (DE) and London (UK)   Public exhibitions  170   from 23.7.
