Henninger is precise analyst, obsessive world master-builder and seductive teller of fairy tales in one artist personality. The landscapes into which his paintings give extract-like insight, originate from an empire of increased artificiality. Their bizarre rampant vitality and dim morbidity refer to no more nature processes which are exposed to gravity and time, but correspond to aesthetic codings which obey the logic figurativeness. Alone in this radical aestheticism the longing for transcendence seems to be satisfiable still today.
