We especially would like to draw your attention to the project "The Lounge of Ethereal Fun" by New York based artist Jenny Marketou which will be premiered at PULSE New York. The artist - who is known for her public inflatable projects and participatory installations involving children - has conceived this project based on research uncovering the phenomenon in the art world of children between the ages of 6 and 14 becoming collectors and investors, using familial wealth.
Designed exclusively for these child-collectors, the artist has constructed a traditional VIP lounge that caters to this sophisticated yet youthful audience. The lounge plays on typical elements of spaces that cater to VIPs, while making it clear that it is built as a space for children. The interviews conducted with the kids will be presented in a special space at our booth together with an edition of prints designed by the artist for this project.
